About
Our Staff Cares
Once upon a time there was a developmental therapist who attended a company Christmas party. The evening was full of great food and casino games. All staff were given money to use at the casino tables. Any casino dollars won could be spent at an auction which concluded the evenings activities. There were many different auction items, including a brand new TV!
A therapist attending the party immediately had a great thought—I serve a family who could really use that TV. So she began to spread word of her idea and went to the casino table to win lots of casino dollars to have to bid on the TV!
On the other side of the room, other Sycamore staff began hearing of the wonderful story to win the TV for a family in need. They also began putting forth great efforts to win casino dollars so they could have the winning bid at the auction!
At last the casino games were closed and the auction started. When the bidding began, there were two groups of people trying to outbid each other for the TV, each collecting more casino money from other employees to make their bids higher and higher. Finally a bid was reached and the TV was purchased for a bazillion points by the Tinsman family. Come to find out, each group was trying to outbid the other FOR THE SAME REASON! They were both bidding on the TV for the same purpose - to give to the family with no TV.
The same family.
In the end the TV was presented to the therapist Wendy Davis.
