This past summer, Sycamore Services received a Regional Initiative Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission to establish a new art program at our Indy South location, at 10 W. Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis. Art Experience Days began on October 3 and will take place on the first Thursday of each month, through April 2. The classes will allow program participants, staff, and the general public, to participate in multiple art class opportunities each month.

Art Experience Days are led by professional artists from the surrounding community and Art Therapy graduate students from the University of Indianapolis. Each session will have open space for the general public to participate in Art Experience Days! To register for an Art Experience class, visit https://artdays.givesmart.com.

“This new opportunity will allow our program participants to engage in an inclusive art program that they might not otherwise have access to,” says Christian Condra, Day Services Coordinator for Sycamore Services Indianapolis South. “Art can help our program participants get in touch with their creative side, enhance their confidence and enthusiasm for developing new interests and skills, and improve their overall wellbeing. We appreciate the Indiana Arts Commission’s recognition of the importance of this program and are grateful for their support.”
